How does ScreenToggle work?
It virtually disconnects a display from your Mac, so macOS stops using it without you unplugging the cable. Reconnect it from your menu bar whenever you need it.
Can I share monitors between two computers?
Yes, if both computers are connected to separate inputs on your monitors. ScreenToggle releases a display from your Mac. You may still need to change the monitor’s input manually; automatic input switching depends on the monitor. It does not share your keyboard or mouse.
Will it work with my Mac and displays?
ScreenToggle requires macOS 13 or later. Display behaviour varies by Mac, macOS version, monitor and adapter. Try the free controls with your setup before buying Pro. Mirrored displays are not supported.
What if I disconnect the wrong display?
Your last active display is protected. A disconnect automatically reverses unless you confirm it within 20 seconds. You can also use Reconnect All Displays; quitting ScreenToggle restores displays it disabled.
Is it available on the Mac App Store?
The current app is designed for direct download. A Mac App Store version is planned, but availability is not confirmed. There is no App Store listing yet.
Do I need Pro?
Manual display controls are free. Pro adds three custom presets, Apple Focus integration and an Apple Shortcuts action for applying presets, for a one-time £9.99 purchase.
